The term ‘spending power’ has become a lot more popular within the working class. And I would love to highlight an opportunity to educate ourselves and take some power back.

We’re taught how to somewhat make money BUT we still don’t know how to spend it. What do I mean when I say this?

Not all of us may be in a position to support one another in our own communities bc of many different things. But what we can do is slow down and try to understand where our money is going when we’re aimlessly spending.

Could we start asking ourselves, who does this purchase benefit? And does this company reflect my own values? Being uneducated can give anyone control of your spending power without actually asking for permission on where it goes after. Start asking the hard questions bc you work hard for the money. Stand up for it when it’s time to spend it as well!
